“We will help the students with their protest. We have said that we are opposed to police violence against students, and violence offers no solution,” he said.
Kovaçi called on everyone who is able to join the students in the protest being held near Parliament, as a sign of support for their demands.
He also confirmed that the lecturers would gather again the following day, at 10:00, to continue their presence in support of the students.
“Since we are in a situation where there is a protest at Parliament, everyone who can should take part there to help the students, and meanwhile, tomorrow we will be here again at 10:00,” declared the head of the Lecturers’ Union.
