Ermal Sadiku, a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo, said that, following today’s verdict by the Specialist Chambers, he would gather all Albanian MPs in the Parliament of the Republic tonight to elect Hashim Thaçi as president of the country.

According to him, Thaçi would receive 100 votes, describing this as a response to the Special Court and Serbia.
In a Facebook post, Sadiku wrote that tonight he would bring together all Albanian MPs and that Hashim Thaçi would be elected president of the Republic with 100 votes, in order to show the Special Court and Serbia on whose behalf they were making their decisions.
The LDK MP reacted after the Specialist Chambers found former President Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi guilty of war crimes involving unlawful or arbitrary arrest and detention, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful killing.
