LDK branch in Lipjan calls for Abdixhiku’s resignation

After a meeting held with the heads of its sub-branches, the Presidency of the LDK branch in Lipjan issued a call for the resignation of the LDK leader. According to it, this step represents a standard of political responsibility and an act of reflection after the message citizens delivered with their vote.

In the published announcement, the branch first thanked the local structures, activists and membership for their commitment during the electoral process. Gratitude was also expressed to the citizens of the Municipality of Lipjan for their participation and contribution to a democratic, calm and dignified electoral process.

The post says that the LDK in Lipjan recorded growth, rising from 6,338 votes, or 19.40 percent, in the December elections, to 6,455 votes, or 23.60 percent, in the June 2026 elections.

Despite this, the Presidency assessed that this result still falls short of expectations and the commitment of the local structures. It stressed that the result at the national level cannot be charged solely to the local structures, but also reflects the party’s condition, organization, functioning and political capacity at the central level.
