Imri Ahmeti: Lumir Abdixhiku’s Removal as LDK Leader Would Benefit the Party

Imri Ahmeti, mayor of the Municipality of Lipjan and former LDK secretary, has reiterated his position that Lumir Abdixhiku should be removed as party leader. According to him, such a decision would be in the interests of the party’s and the country’s future.

Ahmeti recalled that in January he had requested to step down as party secretary and had also offered to resign as head of the LDK branch in Lipjan.

“I have reflected. As early as the January Assembly, I asked to resign as party secretary, and I also offered my resignation as branch leader at the Municipal Assembly. Let us see today whether the Assembly will support our idea of reflecting on the election results,” Ahmeti said.

Meanwhile, he declined to comment on claims that there had been pressure.
