Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari said in an interview with Euronews Albania that the Albanian government may make further decisions to declare “Non Grata” individuals considered a threat to national security.
He stressed that dozens of requests from law enforcement agencies arrive on his desk every week, describing it as a dynamic process that continues day by day. According to Lamallari, if it emerges that these individuals are involved in organized crime, serious crimes, fraud, or blackmail against Albanian citizens, the institutions will act.

Lamallari said that even in cases where such individuals take part in protests alongside their daily activities, this will not prevent the implementation of the law. According to him, the duty is for the law to be enforced point by point and for the State Police to remain at the forefront of responsibility for protecting Albanian citizens, regardless of political nuances or different circumstances.
He added that institutions should not retreat either from public pressure or from the various judgments that may arise. In conclusion, Lamallari underlined that this is his duty and that of the Albanian government, stressing that above all stands the public interest.
