Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari reacted on Facebook after the decision to declare Ikballe Huduti an “undesirable person” in Albania, a measure that bars her from entering the country for 15 years for reasons related to national security and public order.
In his statement, he underlined that the state does not act against protesters as such, but will intervene against any expression of hatred or extremism that, according to him, harms order and security in the country.

Lamallari also expressed this in his full message:
“Should we not deal with protesters?!”
“No! Not only do we not go after any protester as such, but we try to listen to anyone who is sincerely concerned.”
“But of course we will deal with every instigator of hatred and every extremist, like this lady, who can keep her beliefs to herself outside Albania for at least the next 15 years!”
“Because in Albania, a member country of #NATO and very soon part of the European Union, there is no place for Khameneism, which is equal to terrorism, extremism, obscurantism!”
“A disgrace in itself is also the mixing of the name of the honorable Prime Minister of Kosovo into the psychological stream of this spokeswoman for a state declared by consensus a terrorist state by the Parliament of Albania.”
