Kurti: Partnership with the US unshakable, pressure on Serbia sought over mass graves in Zubin Potok

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that Kosovo’s relationship with the United States remains a special and stable alliance. In a Facebook post, he said cooperation with the US would expand further in the areas of the economy, security and defense.

Kurti said that nearly half a billion euros had been spent on weapons systems during the previous term, bringing Kosovo’s partnership with the US in the field of defense to an unprecedented level.

According to him, most of these procurements were carried out through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) programs.

He also announced that the government and parliament had approved the deployment of an FSK contingent as part of the international stabilization force in Gaza.

During a meeting with the delegation of the “Atlantic Council 2026 Balkans Forward Fellows,” the acting prime minister said he had also raised the issue of uncovering mass graves in Zubin Potok.

Kurti once again called on international partners to increase pressure on Serbia in order to declassify archived military files and hand over information about these graves.
