The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with Italy’s ambassador, Maurizio Antonini, who conveyed congratulations on the election of the president.

During the conversation, they discussed the conclusion of the process of establishing and making the institutions operational, as well as the return of full attention to the government program and development plans.
The parties also discussed current developments, including the September 16 verdict in The Hague against former KLA leaders. Part of the meeting was also dedicated to European integration, Italy’s role and the necessity of its support for Kosovo’s advancement toward candidate status for membership in the European Union.
Kurti thanked Italy for its continued support and contribution to the development of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as to maintaining security and stability in the country and the region.
The prime minister also expressed his willingness to expand cooperation in all sectors of mutual interest, including sports.
