Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a meeting today with Atdhe Hykolli, who was recently reconfirmed as the head of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK).

In an official statement, Kurti said that during the conversation he congratulated Hykolli on his new mandate, emphasizing the executive’s readiness to cooperate in advancing, consolidating, and implementing workers’ rights.
“Today I received in a meeting the re-elected chairman of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo, Atdhe Hykolli, whom I congratulated on his new mandate and offered the Government’s cooperation to protect, strengthen, and implement workers’ rights,” Kurti announced.
He reaffirmed the Kosovo Government’s commitment to improving the situation and working environment for employees, highlighting some steps that, according to him, were taken during his governance.
According to the head of government, this commitment is reflected in the increase of the minimum wage, the legalization of the labor market, the expansion of the labor inspectorate, and the finalization of the relevant legal framework in this sector.
