Kurti: Discussions in the US focused on The Hague, missing persons and the Euro-Atlantic perspective

Albin Kurti, the prime minister of Kosovo, announced that last week he participated in the United States of America during the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly, which held its 81st session.

During his stay in New York, he held talks with leaders and senior figures from countries close to Kosovo, as well as officials from international organizations. He also met with members of the Albanian diaspora in New York.

According to the prime minister, these meetings addressed numerous topics, including the decision of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, the issue of people forcibly disappeared during the most recent conflict in KQ, as well as the situation of Albanians in the Presheva Valley. Kurti emphasized that this community was part of Kosovo’s official delegation for the first time.

“We discussed economic recovery and development, security and defense issues, and our Euro-Atlantic path,” he wrote.

He added that the purpose of the visit to the US was also to deepen cooperation with international allies and promote Kosovo’s interests.
