Kurti congratulates new British prime minister, aims to deepen partnership between Kosovar and British armies

Albin Kurti, acting prime minister of Kosovo, has sent congratulations to Andy Burnham on his appointment as head of the United Kingdom government.

In a message published on platform X, Kurti stressed the willingness to further deepen relations between the two executives in sectors of mutual importance.

“I sincerely wish success to the new prime minister of the United Kingdom, Andy Burnham. I am enthusiastic to continue the solid partnership between our governments,” Kurti wrote.

He noted that a priority of this cooperation will be boosting trade and investments, as well as strengthening coordination in the sphere of security and defense of democratic values.

“I look forward to advancing our joint work in stimulating trade and investments, safeguarding democracy in the face of Russia’s malicious interference and its proxies in Southeastern Europe, and expanding cooperation and synchronization between the Kosovo Security Force and the British Armed Forces,” Kurti’s message concluded.
