KSF and Kosovo Police to hold “VALOR SHIELD 2026” exercise with partner forces

The multinational field exercise “VALOR SHIELD 2026” will be held from September 21 to October 2, 2026, Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci has announced.

In addition to the Kosovo Security Force and the Kosovo Police, partner forces from the United States, Albania, and Croatia will also take part in the exercise.

According to Maqedonci, the exercise has been organized to deepen cooperation between security institutions and international partners. It also aims to enhance operational readiness, improve coordination and interoperability between the forces, and develop joint capabilities for a professional and effective response to security challenges.

During the exercise, military and police personnel and vehicles will travel from KSF bases toward the municipalities of Drenas, Obiliq, Fushë Kosovë, and Pristina. These movements will be carried out as planned and in coordination with the responsible institutions.

The announcement thanked citizens for their understanding and cooperation. Maqedonci emphasized that exercises of this kind help strengthen the country’s security, expand its defense capabilities, and deepen cooperation with partners and allies.
