Information that Britain intends to provide Kyiv with the data needed to produce long-range SCALP missiles has provoked a reaction from Moscow. The Kremlin said that, through this move, London was putting peace at risk and warned that it would destroy the facilities where these missiles would be produced.

The Russian position was made public as British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, during his visit to Kyiv, promised continued military assistance for Ukraine. Asked about the possibility of producing SCALP missiles, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov openly expressed his displeasure.
According to Peskov, Britain is constantly escalating the situation and steadily developing schemes aimed at blocking even the smallest step toward the peace process. He said that Russian armed forces were acting in accordance with these circumstances by gathering information on the locations where such missiles and other military equipment are produced, as well as taking measures to destroy them.
SCALP is a long-range cruise missile capable of hitting targets at a distance of approximately 250 kilometers. France and Britain have supplied Ukraine with these weapons since the launch of Russia’s full-scale offensive in 2022, while Kyiv has not yet produced them domestically.
