Kosovo Security Force Military Police strengthens professional capabilities through Close Protection Course

The Military Police of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has successfully completed the Close Protection Course, part of the 2026 Bilateral Cooperation Plan in the field of defense between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo and the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany.

The course was led by certified instructors from the KSF Military Police, in cooperation with members of the German Military Police. This cooperation enabled the exchange of professional experience and the use of advanced training methods.

Participants completed an intensive program, with strict selection criteria and high professional requirements. It included weapons training, self-defense, emergency driving, movement tactics and formations, as well as physical and psychological preparation.

Practical exercises and scenarios designed around the specific features of close protection duties helped participants improve their response and coordination skills, as well as carry out their operational responsibilities efficiently.

The completion of the course represents an important development for the professionalism and operational capabilities of the KSF Military Police. Cooperation with the German Military Police also demonstrates the value of international partnership in developing knowledge, sharing experience and aligning training standards.

The KSF continues to invest in the professional development of its personnel, with the aim of increasing readiness and fulfilling its duties in accordance with modern security and defense standards.
