Kosovo embassy begins efforts to repatriate bodies of three accident victims in North Macedonia

Florian Qehaja, Kosovo’s ambassador to North Macedonia, announced that the diplomatic mission is working to return the remains of three citizens who lost their lives in the tragic accident near the Hani i Elezit–Bllacë border crossing.

The identified victims are Ejup Tërnava, Cennet Tërnava and Fatmire Shabani, who died as a result of the severe incident that occurred last night within the territory of North Macedonia.

Diplomat Qehaja stressed that, as soon as he was notified of the case, the diplomatic mission immediately entered into continuous communication with North Macedonia’s institutions, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local police, and maintained contact with Kosovo authorities and the families of the deceased.

He clarified that the bodies will be transported to Kosovo as soon as all necessary formalities are completed by the relevant investigative bodies.

The diplomatic representative sent messages of condolence to the families and loved ones of the victims.

“In these heavy moments of sorrow, I want to express my deepest condolences and share this pain with you, the families and relatives of those who left us. May they be unforgettable!”, said Ambassador Qehaja.
