Konjufca meets German secretary, Kosovo’s European path discussed

Deputy Prime Minister and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca held a friendly meeting with Christian Wiermer, Secretary of State for European and International Affairs of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The discussion focused on relations between the Republic of Kosovo and North Rhine-Westphalia, advancing Kosovo’s European perspective, and the contribution of the Kosovar diaspora in this German state.

North Rhine-Westphalia is one of the German states with the largest number of compatriots from Kosovo. During the meeting, the Kosovar diaspora was described as an important link between Kosovo and Germany, helping to develop bilateral relations and cooperation.

The parties emphasized the need to continue cooperation and deepen ties between Kosovo and North Rhine-Westphalia, particularly in support of Kosovo’s European perspective and the role of the diaspora.
