Konjufca ahead of Hague verdict: We expect acquittal for Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, spoke shortly before the verdict against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in The Hague.

He described this moment as the conclusion of the judicial process against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, and expressed the expectation of an acquittal.

“Today is the final day of this judicial process. Today a decision is expected, an acquittal for the four leaders of the KLA General Staff. Our war was a necessary defensive war, it had only one goal, the goal of freedom for our people and stopping the genocide of Serbian paramilitary forces. He also spoke about the KLA war, describing it as a defensive effort of the Kosovo Albanians.
