Following the student protest, Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu took to Facebook to condemn the violence, attacks on institutions and the State Police, and damage to public property.

In her response, Koçiu stressed that violence has not provided solutions in the past, does not provide them today and will not do so in the future.
She described the transformation of the culture of protest into orchestrated violence as saddening. In an ironic remark, the deputy prime minister also referred to the claim that this violence had been severely “provoked” by pavement slabs.
According to Koçiu, the clatter of stones, attacks on institutions and the State Police, and the senseless destruction of public property are not a form of expression worthy of young people. She described these actions as a longstanding habit of those who exploit young people to conceal their political incompetence.
