Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has reacted to the incidents recorded during the protest, where police used tear gas against protesters and arrested several of them after eggs were thrown at several MPs.
In a post on social media, Koçiu voiced her support for the State Police and stressed that anyone who crossed the limits set by law will be held accountable before justice.

It took very little for this protest to drop its mask. From placards with memes, to eggs, and then to violence and chaos, exactly where it seemed to have been planned to end up from the very beginning. This is no longer a civic protest with just causes. It is the same old scenario, the same worn-out refrain of a group of vandals that Albania has been saddled with, to remind Albanians every day why we must never go back to these ugly examples. Full support for the State Police in restoring order and public calm. Anyone who exceeds the legal limits will be held accountable before justice.
