Serbian authorities have detained another Kosovo citizen as he was crossing the border between Serbia and Croatia, lawyer Arianit Koci has announced.

The detainee is Dukagjin Maxhuni from Bec, Gjakova, born on May 10, 1979, according to information made public by Koci.
Maxhuni was initially held for verification. Several hours later, his family was informed that he had been taken to Belgrade and that proceedings against him were continuing.
Koci said the circumstances and legal grounds for the detention remain unknown. He added that he is verifying the information and closely monitoring the case.
“While our politicians engage in endless blame and clashes, Serbia continues to arrest our citizens,” Koci wrote.
The lawyer called on the institutions to show due care toward Kosovo citizens and said the public would be informed of any new developments in the case.
