Killed the Portuguese tourist in Ksamil: the moment Sokrat Vata and 10 other people arrive at court under tight security measures

This Friday, a hearing is being held at the Saranda Court to determine the security measures for the 11 people arrested in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Portuguese tourist Luis Miguel Varela Mendes in Ksamil.

Among those appearing before the court is Sokrat Lipan, alias Sokrat Vata, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the killing.

Also among those arrested are two Turkish nationals, who are suspected of attempting to transport the young man to Tirana, as well as several employees of the “Principote” complex.

State Police officers have also been arrested. According to the investigation, they worked as security personnel at the complex, along with several waiters.

Meanwhile, Danjel Gjana, alias Davidi Heurtevent, an Albanian national with a British passport, has been declared wanted.

Bekim Bulica, the owner of the establishment who is suspected of concealing the crime, has also been declared wanted by the police.

6. Ildi Cekani – waiter at the establishment.

7. Murat Zhabina – waiter at the establishment.

8. Miosid Matushaj – police officer in Gjirokaster; arrested.

9. Luciano Seferi – prison police officer in Fier; arrested.

10. Romeo Shehu – municipal police officer in Gjirokaster; arrested and suspended from duty.

11. Kristi Koshi – arrested.

12. David Heurtevent – customer at the establishment, declared wanted as an accomplice in the crime.

13. Bekim Bulica – owner of the establishment, declared wanted for concealing the crime.
