The escape of 29-year-old Sokrat Vata from Has, who stabbed French tourist Miguel Mendes to death, lasted only a few hours.
Vata was reportedly arrested during a police check in Levan, Fier, while hiding in the trunk of a car.
According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of this Tuesday, August 18, when young Frenchman Miguel Mendes was found lifeless on beach loungers near a bar.
Saranda police suspect that the 20-year-old was involved in a conflict over a girl and was then stabbed by 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, a resident of Has.
