Kadrijaj at protest: Specialist Chambers issued a political ruling, the KLA’s war was just and liberating

Time Kadrijaj, an Alliance MP, joined the protest held outside the Kosovo government building, where citizens are voicing their opposition to the Specialist Chambers’ ruling on the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

According to Kadrijaj, this is a political trial, while the position of Kosovo’s citizens was made clear on September 12 through their participation in the March for Freedom.

She said that more than 200,000 citizens took part in that mass march, expressing their belief that the former KLA leaders are innocent. Kadrijaj also cited protests held across Kosovo ahead of the ruling, as well as the large rally in The Hague, as evidence of public support for them.

The MP called what had happened shameful and rejected the claim that the sentence was being handed down in the name of the people of Kosovo. She said the process was entirely political and had been built on files prepared by Serbia and its collaborators.

Kadrijaj stressed that the KLA fought a just war of liberation. According to her, a court of this kind should have been established in Serbia, instead of overlooking a state that committed genocide, crimes and rape while Kosovo’s soldiers and commanders are convicted and punished.

During the protest, she was also asked about reports that signatures had begun to be collected to call an extraordinary session of the Assembly of Kosovo.

Kadrijaj said that no one had contacted her so far regarding the collection of signatures. However, she said that the Alliance, which had voted against it, was ready to provide its signature and respond positively to the initiative that had been before the Assembly of Kosovo for the dissolution of Kosovo.
