Journalist assaulted in Tirana, police declare suspected perpetrator wanted

At midday on Wednesday, on “Çamëria” Street in Tirana, a journalist was assaulted, and he is suspected of having been punched for trivial motives.

The injured man, a citizen with the initials I. D., was immediately taken to hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical assistance. So far, there is no information about his health condition.

Immediately after being notified of the incident, Police services went to the place where it occurred and launched an investigation into the case.

Through swift investigative actions, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator, citizen R. S., who has now been declared wanted.

Police said that searches to find and capture him are still ongoing. Also, as part of the investigation, the vehicle suspected of having been used by him has been seized.

Under the direction of the Prosecution, the investigative team is continuing its work to fully clarify the circumstances of this incident.
