Islami: Espionage Cases Are Uncovering a Broad Network of Agents

Recent arrests made on suspicion of espionage have prompted a response from security expert Avni Islami, who believes these cases are revealing the scale of a broad intelligence network.

According to Islami, the operations are expected to continue with the detention of other individuals suspected of collaborating with the BIA or other agencies that he considers hostile.

“The series of arrests on suspicion of espionage is highlighting the existence of a broad intelligence network,” Islami said.

He stressed that securing evidence in these cases depends on coordination among the Special Prosecutor’s Office, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) and the Kosovo Police, as well as on the use of modern technology and professional work.
