Inspection of Ron Yeffet’s villa, Klevis Balliu: SPAK should also investigate Edi Rama

In a public statement, Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu reacted after SPAK conducted searches at the villa of Israeli-American businessman Ron Yeffet as part of investigations launched following audio recordings.

Balliu said the investigation should not be limited to Yeffet’s residence, but should also include Edi Rama, whom he described as the businessman’s boss, as well as other individuals who, according to him, are at the top of the scheme.

“It is not enough to replace one Ron Yeffet with another. The investigation must reach the main person responsible and fully uncover the entire scheme,” Balliu said.

In his statement, the MP claimed that Ron Yeffet is a friend of Edi Rama and that, in cooperation with the government, he is profiting millions of euros at the expense of citizens.

Balliu called on SPAK, following the search of Yeffet’s residence, to extend its investigation to Edi Rama’s residence as well, referring to him as the leader of these affairs.

According to him, the crux of the matter is not the replacement of one person with another, but the identification of the main person responsible and a full investigation into the alleged mechanism.
