Lawyer Plarent Ndreca has revealed a conversation between Justice Minister Toni Gogu and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who was transferred from Durrës prison to Fier prison.
The conversation took place on October 30, when Minister Gogu went to meet the mayor in person. The visit was not recorded in the prison logbook.

According to Ndreca, Gogu went to see Veliaj on Edi Rama’s instructions to deliver a message.
“I’m here on the prime minister’s instructions. I want to convey exactly what he told me:
‘This is the last time I’m addressing you as your political father. From today onward, I will address you only as prime minister.
—Surrender your mandate immediately.
—Delegate power to the people I name.
—Drop lawyer Plarent Ndreca.
Otherwise, I will transfer you to Prison 302, direct SPAK to open an investigation into undermining the constitutional order, and let you rot in prison.’”
Veliaj responded immediately, telling the justice minister: “Even if I spend 100 years in prison, I will not bring shame on my children.” /G.Panorama
