Ilinden Pardon: Who Are the 25 Convicts Who Benefited from the President’s Decision?

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova has pardoned a total of 25 people convicted of crimes on the occasion of the August 2 national holiday, Ilinden.

The decision, which is based on Article 84 of the Constitution and the Law on Pardons, takes effect immediately upon its approval.

According to the decree published in the “Official Gazette,” six people have been fully released from serving the remainder of their prison sentences, while another 19 convicts have received partial sentence reductions, 4news.mk reports.

The following have been released from serving the full remainder of their sentences:

Ilin Lupço Anushev from Skopje;

Trajço Boris Tançev from Kavadar;

Amir Nadir Saiti from the village of Çegran, Gostivar;

Borçe Trajan NasteskI from the village of Tazhevë, Makedonski Brod;

Blagoçe Rubin Petreski from Prilep;

Amin Merkis Hajçoski from the village of Osoj, Kërçovë.

The second part of the decision covers 19 people whose prison sentences have been reduced. For most of them, the pardoned period ranges from 5 to 9 months.

The largest reduction was granted to Jakupi Imer Shefije from the village of Zajaz in Kërçovë, whose sentence was reduced by 1 year and 6 months.

Those partially released from serving the remainder of their prison sentences are:

Ismailhaki Haxhiu from Skopje – 8 months;

Jetulla Ismail Selimi from Skopje – 5 months;

Kadir Naim Zulbeari from the village of Cerovë, Tetovë – 5 months;

Aleksandar Vidan Atanasovski from the village of Stracin, Kratovë – 5 months;

Sadat Ramadan Nuhiji from Kumanova – 5 months;

Tarhan Uzeir Shakirov from the village of Bansko – 9 months;

Stojançe Mite Shterijov from Shtip – 5 months;

Marjan Jovan Antiç from the village of Mokrino – 5 months;

Gjorgje Nikola Belçev from Gjevgjelia – 9 months;

Hristijan Mitko Gjorgiev from Gjevgjelia – 5 months;

Boban Pançe Josifoski from Prilep – 5 months;

Antonio Dragan Mirçevski from Ohrid – 5 months;

Hristijan Boro Krsteski from Struga – 5 months;

Gjorgievski Aleksandar Bozhidar from Skopje – 5 months;

Karanfilovski Boban Nikola from Kumanova – 5 months;

Zenula Imer Jusufi from the village of KoçilarI, Municipality of Gradsko – 5 months;

Alii Metush Avni from Skopje – 5 months;

Jahja Mustafa Muhamed from Skopje – 5 months;

Jakupi Imer Shefije from the village of Zajaz, Kërçovë – 1 year and 6 months.
