I have arrived”/ Berisha travels to the US: The great land of freedom will support Albania

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has departed for the United States of America following the lifting of his non grata designation.

Berisha described the trip as a politically significant development. He said the US, which he described as the great land of freedom, would support Albania and Albanians in their efforts to free themselves from what he called an authoritarian dictatorship linked to drugs, crime and the theft of Albanians by Edi Rama and the narco-state regime.

“Your presence here shows that you understand this is the journey of the decade for Albania. I am very pleased that today I am setting off for the United States with the same conviction I had in March 1991: that the great land of freedom will support Albania and Albanians,” Berisha said.

He added that this had nothing to do with him personally and that the presence of those gathered there showed that they, too, sensed the importance of this trip for Albania.

Berisha also said that during the visit he would meet with his friends and deliver the message: “I have arrived, I have arrived.”
