PDK MP and former Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj has reacted following the German government’s announcement that Russia is suspected of being behind an attempted drone attack involving explosives at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

In a post on the X platform, Hoxhaj said the incident represents an act of Russian aggression against Germany and the security of the European continent.
“The drone loaded with explosives at Leipzig/Halle Airport is a clear act of Russian aggression against Germany and European security. Kosovo stands firmly alongside Chancellor Merz, Germany and our NATO allies. Hybrid warfare requires unity and determination,” Hoxhaj wrote.
The incident was recorded on August 4. On September 1, German authorities declared that information gathered by security institutions clearly demonstrated Russia’s involvement.
The UAV was detected near a Ukrainian aircraft and was deactivated without causing casualties or material damage.
