Hoti did not appear at the LDK Presidency meeting, confirms his position

The Democratic League of Kosovo announced in a statement published on its official Facebook page that the party’s Presidency had unanimously supported the nomination of Bekim Sejdiu for President.

According to the LDK statement, after reviewing the matter, the Presidency unanimously approved the agreement reached by the party’s negotiating team and, on that basis, endorsed the candidacy of Professor Bekim Sejdiu for President of the Republic.

“This decision represents the official and institutional position of the Democratic League of Kosovo. It was taken in accordance with the mandate granted by the LDK Assembly, the party’s decision-making procedures and the responsibility assumed by the LDK to guarantee institutional stability and the regular functioning of the constitutional order,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, MP and member of the LDK Presidency, Avdullah Hoti, was not seen entering the meeting of the party’s governing body.

Before the meeting of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Hoti reiterated that his position, made public a day earlier, remained unchanged.

“I have made my position public,” he declared.
