Three wildfire hotspots have been reported in the village of Madhesh, in the Ulëz administrative unit of the Municipality of Mat. Burrel’s firefighting forces, employees of the Municipality of Mat and forestry service workers have been dispatched to the area to extinguish the flames.

The three hotspots are located approximately one kilometer apart, while the fire is suspected to have been deliberately started.
The difficult mountainous terrain is making it hard for ground forces to intervene. High temperatures and strong winds are favoring the spread of the flames, increasing the risk that the fire could grow larger.
Because of the difficult situation, aerial intervention has been requested to enable the isolation and extinguishing of the wildfire hotspots.
