Haxhiu welcomes Admiral Wikoff: Kosovo’s path to NATO remains unwavering

Albulena Haxhiu, in her capacity as acting president, today received in an official meeting Admiral George M. Wikoff, who commands the Allied Joint Force Command based in Naples.

The talks focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and the entire region, the close cooperation between local institutions and the KFOR mission, and the necessity of sustained coordination with the North Atlantic Alliance. In a statement distributed through social media, Haxhiu expressed gratitude for the admiral’s contribution and the role of KFOR troops in ensuring security and freedom of movement for all inhabitants. She reiterated that Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspiration is unwavering and that NATO integration represents an essential strategic objective. According to her, the country will continue to deepen ties with allies and contribute to regional stability.
