Hand grenade thrown from a moving “Citroen” at a restaurant in Dobërcë, two people injured

A hand grenade was thrown at a hospitality venue in Dobërcë from a moving vehicle, leaving two people injured, the Tetovo Internal Affairs Department said.

According to the statement, the incident was reported on 08.07.2026 at 01:20 to the Grupçin Police Department by D.F. (51), a resident of the village of Dobërcë in Tetovo. He reported that a passenger vehicle, a “Citroen,” while in motion, threw a hand grenade toward his hospitality venue, which is located along the local road in the village.

The explosion caused material damage, while those injured were E.A. (57) from the village of Çiflik in Tetovo and G.F. (60) from the village of Dobarcë, who were near the restaurant at the time.

The two injured people were immediately transported to Tetovo Clinical Hospital to receive medical assistance. An expert team from the Tetovo Internal Affairs Department carried out an inspection at the scene, where pistol shell casings were also found.

The Public Prosecutor from the Tetovo Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed about the case, while measures are being taken and activities are under way to identify the perpetrator and fully clarify the incident, the statement from the Tetovo Internal Affairs Department said.
