Following his meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, PDK chairman Bedri Hamza said that no agreement had been reached so far. He did not rule out the possibility that talks between the parties could continue in the coming days.

“We will announce it when we have an agreement. It is possible that the meetings will continue in the days ahead,” Hamza said.
According to him, the meeting with Kurti addressed developments in the proceedings in The Hague, the judgment of the Specialist Chambers, and the need to approve amendments to the law on the Special Court.
Hamza stressed that, for the PDK, approving the law on the court is the first step before discussions begin on the election of the president.
“The meeting discussed the proceedings taking place in The Hague, the court’s judgment, as well as the need for the Assembly of the Republic to approve the law on the court. The election of the president was also discussed. You know that, for the PDK, it is necessary for the law to be approved, and only then are we ready to discuss the president, so that the country can have a president,” he declared.
