Hamza confirms PDK’s participation in the September 9 session: we will be in the Assembly

The Democratic Party of Kosovo will be present in the session of September 9, which has been called for the constitution of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. The confirmation has been made by the chairman of this party, Bedri Hamza, after the meeting of the PDK’s Parliamentary Group.

Hamza expressed criticism for the way the constitution process has so far been conducted, saying that the discussions have highlighted the violation of the Kosovo Constitution and the non-implementation of a Constitutional Court decision.

According to him, the ruling clearly stipulates that the Assembly must be constituted within 30 days from the certification of the election result, which, as he has emphasized, has not occurred.

The head of the PDK has also opposed the fact that the session was not scheduled earlier. He declared that, despite Kurti being aware of this issue, interpretations have continued and no factual, logical or legal explanation has been provided for convening the session exactly on September 9.

Nevertheless, Hamza warned that participation in the session does not necessarily mean that the Assembly will be constituted. He raised the possibility that the invitation may serve for other actions and political games, while reiterating that the PDK will participate in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
