Halil Geci: The idea of partitioning Kosovo remains a threat; the homeland must not become a political bargain

Through a public post, activist Halil Geci reacted to the idea of partitioning Kosovo, which he describes as “drawing borders with a knife across maps.”

According to Geci, for a large number of citizens this issue has never been considered closed and continues to be seen as a grave danger to the country. He says that Kosovo cannot be treated as anyone’s property, neither to be divided nor turned into the subject of political bargaining.

In his reaction, he calls on citizens not to erase history from their memory, stressing that responsibility for decisions affecting the country’s future does not disappear with the passing of years. According to him, “the homeland is not for sale, but to be defended.”

For those who see it this way, this is not politics, but betrayal of the homeland. Kosovo is not anyone’s property to be divided, fragmented, or made the object of political bargaining.

History must not be forgotten. The people have the right to know, to remember, and to judge. Silence in the face of issues that affect the country’s future is not a solution.

The homeland is not for sale, you scoundrels. The homeland must be defended!

Come to your senses and think carefully. Tomorrow, history will write about this idea and about each person’s actions. The burden of wrong decisions will not remain only on you, but may also weigh on the generations to come, on your children.

History does not forget, and responsibility before the homeland does not fade with the passage of time.
