Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) have reached an agreement to nominate Bekim Sejdiu for the post of President of Kosovo.

The agreement aims to break the institutional deadlock and avoid holding new elections.
Sejdiu’s name is expected to be put to a vote in the Assembly, where securing the support of lawmakers will be decisive for the election of the president and the functioning of the country’s institutions.
Commentator Hafiz Shala welcomed the agreement between Albin Kurti and the LDK, congratulating them on reaching an agreement on Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy.
According to him, Sejdiu is a well-chosen candidate. However, Shala said it remains to be seen whether the LDK will be able to secure the quorum needed to bring the process to a conclusion.
“I congratulate the acting Prime Minister, Mr. Albin Kurti, on the opportunity to constitute the institutions.
The LDK demonstrated maturity, but it now remains to be seen whether it will secure the party quorum to successfully carry this initiative of state interest through to the end.
I agree with the agreement on Mr. Bekim Sejdiu, as I consider him to be a well-chosen candidate. I can say that I have not seen him as a ‘sycophant,’ as people would put it, eager for power, unlike those who make a great deal of noise and empty publicity to present themselves as suitable, while in reality concealing things within themselves that not everyone knows about.
Their activities with people who were once assigned to determine our fate have been closely linked to the cost of securing some form of power.
I would wish the future president, Mr. Bekim Sejdiu, to be the President of the people and of no party, at a time when, as one song said: ‘Oh good one among apple trees, our country has filled up with Fatmir Shehollas,’ Shala said.
He reiterated that Bekim Sejdiu should perform his duties as a “president of the people” and not as a representative of any political party.
Shala blamed the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) for obstructing the functioning of institutions. According to him, the two parties aim to remove Albin Kurti from power.
The commentator also made claims about links between former political leaders and Serbian criminal circles.
“It has now become clear who is blocking the country and for what reason.
The goal and fear of these two parties is the removal of Albin Kurti from power. This aligns with Serbia’s demands, as it has continuously sought and funded spies and circles to discredit Kurti. As far as I know, he has never extended his hand to Vučić at any official meeting in the EU and in the presence of its officials. If I am wrong, I apologize and withdraw this opinion, because during his government many issues came to light about which the people had not had sufficient knowledge.
PDK and AAK are in a deep party moral crisis, as they are interested at all costs in ensuring that the state does not function. In my view, this serves to conceal their actions in cooperation with Serbia and its people.
In a way, through Radoiçiq, these structures controlled the Republic of Dardania, with the consent of our former leadership for more than twenty years. At the head of the state and government were Thaçi and Haradinaj, together with the people around them, who, in order to remain in power and enrich themselves enormously, acted blindly in cooperation with Serbian criminal enemies, stealing Dardanian wealth.
This is not a theory, but a truth that is visible and tangible to every citizen, he declared.
Shala assessed that the agreement reached between the LDK and Kurti gives the country an opportunity to emerge from the institutional crisis. He praised Kurti’s governance, citing developments in the north and the discovery of mass graves as achievements which, according to him, helped document and expose Serbia’s crimes.
“With this step, the LDK gave itself and the people an opportunity to return to the right path. Meanwhile, the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, showed that he is a figure who, in the face of crises created from within, acted wisely and with high national, state-building and affirming virtues for the Republic of Dardania internationally.
His greatest and most decisive achievement was the removal of criminal and terrorist gangs from the north. This meant the liberation of that part, its return to the fold of Dardania, and ensuring the free movement of communities, especially the Serbian community, which had been controlled and terrorized by the criminal Millan Radoiçiq.
Another very important development was the discovery of mass graves on our territory. For 27 years since liberation, none of the previous governments had undertaken such an action. This discovery exposed Serbia before the world through evidence of crimes committed in the part it controlled, Shala stressed to “Bota sot.”
In conclusion, Shala called on the PDK and AAK not to leave the chamber during the vote for the president. He stressed that Albin Kurti cannot be forcibly removed from power and warned that, according to him, violations against the state and illegally acquired assets will be investigated and punished.
“I call on the opposition parties, PDK and AAK, to remain in the chamber during the vote for the President.
Albin Kurti cannot be removed from power by force, as some representatives of opposition political parties have stated.
You must know one thing for certain: all actions against the state and assets acquired illegally during this government will not go unpunished, he told the newspaper.
