Gruda: The participation of US and EU representatives marks a new stage in the Assembly

PDK and Alliance MPs returned to the Assembly’s plenary hall today, calling for the continuation of the constituent session. Representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America and the European Union Office also attended the session, unlike on previous occasions.

According to PDK MP Përparim Gruda, the presence of international representatives constitutes a new development for the Assembly of Kosovo and conveys a clear political message.

“The Assembly of Kosovo experienced a new moment today. Representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America and the European Union were present at the session. This is not merely a matter of protocol, as under the current circumstances their presence carries particular political importance and clearly shows that our international partners oppose any overturning of the constitutional order,” Gruda wrote.

He stressed that the work of the Assembly, the implementation of the Constitution and respect for state institutions cannot be conditioned by the political will of a party or an individual.
