Greek special forces arrest the Albanian wanted for assassination, identity of the 32-year-old revealed

A 32-year-old Albanian national, wanted for involvement in an assassination in Greece, has been arrested by the local special forces.

According to Greek media reports, Adriano Bushi was caught in the early morning hours in the Ovrya area of Patras, where he was temporarily staying. The operation was carried out by investigators from the Crimes Department, supported by the special unit EKAM and operational teams of DAOE.

A warrant for his arrest had been issued by the First Instance Prosecutor’s Office in Achaia, on charges of ‘attempted intentional murder’ and violations of laws on weapons and explosives.

Investigations indicate that Bushi is suspected of participating in an incident recorded on April 7, 2026, in Nea Souli, Patras. According to Greek authorities, he and three other persons had arranged a meeting with two Greek nationals, as a result of a previous conflict.

As soon as the two persons arrived at the meeting point, they were shot at with firearms. As a result, one of them suffered severe penetrating wounds and a fracture in the left leg. Greek authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances and to identify the fourth person suspected of being involved in the assassination.
