Fraud and Property Forgery, After a Month on the Run, Deputy Director of the Dibra Cadastre Arrested

After nearly a month on the run, police arrested the deputy director of the Dibra Cadastre, Danjel Gjura, on Tuesday evening. He is accused by judicial authorities of “Fraud” and “Forgery of Documents,” and in the past he also held the post of director of the Dibra Cadastre.

Gjura is not the only representative of the Dibra Cadastre to have ended up in handcuffs.

On June 17 of this year, Dibra Police announced that, following a 7-month investigation, a criminal scheme involving the forgery of property ownership documents had been uncovered, implicating 8 other Cadastre officials and a notary.

According to the investigation, the document forgery was carried out with the aim of securing a property for citizen Teshar Doçi, who was arrested together with a family member. At the same time, the Dibra Court imposed the security measure of “Obligation to Appear” on Teshar Doçi’s wife as well.

In addition to holding senior posts at ASHK Dibër, Danjel Gjura was also a candidate for parliament in the 2025 elections under the banner of the Socialist Party.
