Haxhiu Welcomes Discovery of Mass Grave in Kalludër, Praises Institutional Engagement

The confirmation of a mass grave in the village of Kalludër in Zubin Potok has been welcomed as positive news by the acting President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu.

According to her, this discovery marks a significant step in the long process of shedding light on the fate of those who disappeared violently during the armed conflict.

In a public reaction on the social network Facebook, Haxhiu expressed gratitude for the careful and professional work of the authorities engaged in this case. She specifically mentioned the Kosovo Police, the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and the Government Commission on Missing Persons, as well as the prosecution bodies and other law and justice institutions.

Underscoring that the investigations are being conducted with seriousness and a sense of responsibility, she provided assurance that the entire process will have her continuous support.

“This process will have my full support, from the comprehensive assessment of the location, exhumation and forensic examinations, to the complete identification of the victims, always in an effort to respond to the right of families to know the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones,” Haxhiu stated.
