Following the violence against Edi Kuçi, Peja Prosecutor’s Office takes action against Jozefin Marku

New developments have emerged following the physical altercation between Joz Marku and Edi Kuçi, footage of which has circulated widely online in recent days.

According to reporting by Klan Kosova, the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja has opened a case against Joz Marku in connection with the incident. The same source reports that, as part of the proceedings initiated, his arrest has also been requested.

Information about the opening of the case was confirmed to Klan Kosova by Shkodran Nikçi, spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja.

The decision comes after several videos of the confrontation between Joz and Edi were published. The footage that circulated shows Edi surrounded by several people, while at one point Joz hits him.

The longer video published later also contains the argument between them concerning Edi’s previous statements about the singer.

Edi himself reacted after the footage was published, claiming that he had found himself “15 against 1” and describing what had happened as “disloyalty” and “betrayal.”

The matter has now also been taken up by the justice authorities. The opening of a case and the reported request for an arrest do not imply a determination of Joz Marku’s criminal responsibility, which will depend on the proceedings and decisions of the competent institutions.
