Political analyst Florian Nesimi has mocked Left party leader Dimitar Apasiev following the latter’s criticism of Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari’s decision to make the ministry’s official website available in Albanian as well.

In a social media post, Nesimi wrote: “Apasiev is apparently upset because Jeton Shasivari made the Ministry of Justice website available in Albanian too. But when the bar exam is also held in Albanian, what will Apasiev say then?”
The addition of an Albanian-language version of the Ministry of Justice website is part of measures aimed at expanding the use of the language in institutional communication.
The reaction comes as the use of Albanian in state institutions remains a subject of political debate in the country. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice has announced that it will take further steps to implement the legal provisions governing the use of official languages.
