Fires Return to Krujë/ Two Blazes in Krastë and the Abazaj Neighborhood, Forest Reduced to Ashes (VIDEO)

Wildfires have once again broken out in Krujë. A new blaze has been reported in the Krastë area of Krujë, this time in its northern section, renewing concerns over the wildfire situation in the area.

According to reports from residents, the fire is suspected to have been deliberately set and is spreading rapidly, fueled by strong winds.

The situation is particularly concerning because the flames are advancing toward explosives depots used to supply quarries.

Due to the danger, an army helicopter has returned to the area to help bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, Krujë firefighters have established a safety perimeter to prevent the flames from reaching the depots.

The situation also remains serious in Krujë’s Abazaj neighborhood, where residents have requested help in tackling the fire.

Residents say they called to request assistance, but their calls were not answered promptly. Crews on the ground are continuing efforts to contain the blazes, while the risk remains high due to the wind and the fire’s proximity to hazardous areas.
