Fire update across the country: 23 incidents reported, two remain under monitoring

Over the past 24 hours, 23 wildfires have been reported across the country. Most of them have been extinguished, while two remain under monitoring.

A total of 445 operational personnel and 47 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to deal with the situation. The operations also involved 65 members of the Armed Forces, 3 Armed Forces firefighting vehicles, 2 helicopters and 1 Air Tractor aircraft from the Air Force.

In Dajt, the flames have been brought under control, while local authorities continue to monitor the area. The fire in Priskë has also been completely extinguished.

The operation in Çikallesh and Leshtej-Collak, in the municipality of Kavajë, has concluded following the deployment of firefighters from several municipalities and aerial support.

The fire that broke out in Mushnik, in the municipality of Rrogozhinë, has been extinguished.

In the Ndrenie–Vlosh–Panahor area of Mallakastër, efforts to fully extinguish the fire are continuing. The fire remains active beneath the canopy on the northern side and is being monitored.

In Plan i Bardhë, in the municipality of Klos, the fire was extinguished following the intervention of 5 firefighting vehicles and 26 Fire Protection Service personnel, with the support of police forces, municipal structures, volunteers, OSHE personnel and 25 members of the Armed Forces.

The fires in Kostren 2, in the municipality of Berat, and Uruçaj, in the municipality of Peqin, have also been completely extinguished. Operational structures have likewise neutralized all the other fires reported over the past 24 hours.

There are currently no reports of problematic fires threatening populated areas. The two remaining fires continue to be monitored.

The National Civil Protection Agency and the structures of the civil protection system are monitoring the situation and maintaining readiness to intervene in the event of a possible reactivation of the fires.
