Fire situation in our country, 35 fire hotspots in 24 hours, 5 still active

The Ministry of Defense reports that during the last 24 hours, 35 fire hotspots were reported, of which 5 remain active and 3 are being kept under control.

To cope with the situation, 382 operational personnel and 40 firefighting vehicles have been deployed, while the Armed Forces have supported operations with 90 personnel and 3 Air Force helicopters.

Main fire hotspots:

Dajt, Tirana – work continues to extinguish the fire, today with support from 30 Armed Forces personnel. There is no danger to residential areas. Meanwhile, the Priska hotspot is under control.

Lufaj, Mirdita – the fire remains active at low intensity, and operational crews are continuing their work. There is no danger to residential areas.

Tërbun–Gjegjan–Gojan, Pukë – the situation in the forested areas of Tërbun has improved, while the fires in Gjegjan and Gojan remain active. During the operation, one family was evacuated and, thanks to the intervention of forces, the danger to their home was avoided. Today the operation is supported by 40 Armed Forces personnel and 2 helicopters.

Gjorm i Sipërm, Malësi e Madhe – work continues to extinguish the reactivated fire with 2 fire engines and 6 personnel from the Fire and Rescue Service (MZSH).

Tunjë e Re, Gramsh – work continues to isolate and extinguish the fire; there is no danger to residential areas.

Meanwhile, Gurë-Lura remains under control after the fire was extinguished, while in Qafë Helmes operational forces continue their work, with no danger to residential areas.

The National Civil Protection Agency continues to monitor the situation uninterruptedly across the entire territory of the country, in close coordination with prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the civil protection system.

Operational capacities remain deployed on the ground and on standby to intervene wherever the situation requires, with priority on protecting the lives, homes and property of citizens.
