Fire situation across the country/ 32 fires reported, 6 of them remain active

The Ministry of Defense reports that 32 fires have been reported over the past 24 hours, of which 6 remain active and 4 are under observation.

A total of 726 operational personnel and 44 firefighting vehicles were deployed in yesterday’s operations, while the Armed Forces supported the operations with 270 personnel, 5 firefighting vehicles, 4 helicopters and 2 “Air Tractor” aircraft.

In Gojan–Gjegjan, Pukë, the reinforced operation is continuing with 190 personnel on the ground: 32 Fire Protection and Rescue Service personnel with 7 firefighting vehicles, 13 forestry service employees, 60 local service employees, 45 volunteers/residents and 40 Armed Forces personnel. Support includes 1 excavator, 1 firefighting vehicle and 2 Armed Forces helicopters.

In Tenë, Mirditë, the operation is continuing with 30 Armed Forces personnel, firefighting vehicles from the Armed Forces and Mirditë Municipality, the forestry service and local structures. There is currently no risk to homes.

In Dukat, Vlorë, the fire remains active but at low intensity. Today, 77 personnel are operating there: 10 Fire Protection and Rescue Service personnel, 12 personnel from the Orikum Administrative Unit and 55 Armed Forces personnel. Homes are not at risk.

In Mount Dajt, Tirana, part of the fire has been fully isolated, while efforts are continuing today on the remaining fire fronts with 30 Armed Forces personnel. There is no risk to residential areas.

In Bërshi, Klos, after being brought under control, several fire fronts reignited overnight due to the wind. A total of 85 personnel have been deployed in the operation so far, including 30 Armed Forces personnel, along with firefighting vehicles.

In Shtuf, Mirditë, the fire remains active and efforts are continuing wherever the terrain allows, while the steep sections are making it difficult to use firefighting vehicles.

The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) continues to monitor the situation across the country without interruption, in close coordination with the prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the Civil Protection system.

Operational capacities remain deployed in the field and on standby to intervene wherever the situation requires, with priority given to protecting people’s lives, homes and property.
