Filipche: Commission for Hungarian loan suspected to reach €100 million

Venko Filipche, leader of the SDSM, has expressed suspicions that the commission on the €1 billion Hungarian loan could be as high as €100 million, raising questions about how these funds are allocated and used.

In an interview on the “Samo intervju” program on Kanal 5, he stressed that the investigation into the Hungarian loan is closely linked to the change of government in Hungary. Filipche asked: “Would an investigation into the Hungarian loan, namely the Chinese money in Hungary, have been opened if the government had not changed?” He then added that “you can imagine what kind of investigations are being opened into our government; they will not be opened if the government in Serbia changes.”

He then presented specific figures: the commission on the Hungarian loan amounts to €100 million. According to him, of the €250 million announced for projects in municipalities, only €60 million has been implemented. “Where are the remaining €190 million? Where are the other €250 million for companies? This is precisely why it is under investigation,” Filipche stated.

The SDSM leader also expects officials from Mickoski’s government to be summoned for questioning. He warned that the new government in Hungary is investigating that loan and that we may soon see our highest-ranking officials summoned there to give an account.
