Filipçe proposes vetting for all officials, from himself and Zaev to Sheqerinska and Mickoski

A vetting process that would include, without exception, all officials—both former and current—is part of the SDSM’s Master Plan for justice. Party leader Venko Filipçe said on the “Telma” program that the special vetting law would initially be applied to him.

“A special vetting law, under which I would be the first, but also all the others from the SDSM era, including Zoran Zaev, Radmilla Sheqerinska and Petre Shilegov. Let everyone be examined and scrutinized. The same process should also apply to current officials of VMRO-DPMNE, headed by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski,” Filipçe stated.

According to him, the plan envisages the involvement of foreign experts, as well as the verification of assets and their origins.

The scrutiny would also extend to the largest companies that have cooperated with the state and made additional profits over the past 10 years. Filipçe said the law would contain special provisions for the additional taxation of these profits, emphasizing that the companies had acted in accordance with the law.

“There will be foreign experts, an examination of assets and their origins, including the property of large companies that have worked with the state and generated additional profits over the past decade. We have multimillionaires who have been created at the expense of the state, and the money will be returned to the budget,” he said.

During his presentation of the Master Plan’s priorities, Filipçe also mentioned continuing along the European path, cooperation with the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and a review of complex cases.
